National Institute of Technology Delhi is an autonomous Institute, established in 2010 by an act of parliament, which functions under the aegis of Ministry of Education, Government of India. NIT Delhi aims to provide instructions and research facilities in various disciplines of Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities for advance learning and dissemination of knowledge. NIT Delhi started its academic session in 2010 with three undergraduate B.Tech degree programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The academic activities of NIT Delhi were initiated at NIT Warangal in year 2010 which were then transferred to a transit campus at IAMR, Narela. The permanent campus is now operational with unsurpassed infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories and volume for the expansion of our students' intellect. The institution aims to nurture students to produce a plethora with exceptional emphasis on theoretical proficiency, practical applications, professional competence and ethical conduct. Within a short span, the institution has achieved remarkable national and international recognition and has created a reputation amongst the masses for being the harbinger of positive changes in the society, top-notch technical and professional students, innovative research and holistic development. NIT Delhi has dedicated itself to the aforementioned goals, to have its curriculum in sync with the demands of the present and requirements of the future and develop technologies that assist the society and make the world a better place.

Over the years, we have evolved into an institution which values a holistic approach towards the development of our students. The Alumni of NIT Delhi have proven themselves to be worthy and competent employees, entrepreneurs, scientists and public servants, which stands as a corroboration to the fact that our nurturing process is one of the finest the nation has to offer. The institution is equipped with state of the art laboratories to impart practical knowledge and on-field implementation concomitant with theoretical proficiency. In order to enhance the dexterity of the students, we now have the provision of a minor degree in sync with the National Education Policy (2020). This shall further enable the students to be well-endowed in most of the situations they may encounter in their day-to-day functioning. They are educated, trained and mentored in interdisciplinary realms as a multidisciplinary approach to research and development is the need and requirement of this millennium.
